Meet Mike & Sherry
Mike Goede is a visual artist who studied photography at School of the Arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He moved to Nova Scotia over 20 years ago, where the rugged coastlines, charming coves and quaint maritime villages have become central inspirations in his work. Mike creates 3D seascape collages using reclaimed materials such as rusty metal, weathered barn board, and beautiful shingles all with original patina. Each piece is a playful yet nostalgic tribute to the character and charm of life by the sea. His art captures the textures and stories of the Maritimes through a uniquely imaginative lens.
Self taught artist from Nova Scotia, Sherry Goede creates whimsical textile art that blends imagination with craft. Working with a variety of fabrics and textures, her pieces are brought to life through intricate hand-sewn stitching. Each creation reflects a love for storytelling, playfulness, and the expressive potential of textiles.
